The Discus 2 T
The discus 2 is a real performer. This thing is fast and very maneuvrable at hight speed. It is gorgeous to look at. I can't see how a glider can be any nicer than this. those tilt up wing are giving it a look of it's own.
And above all it likes to go fast. In 2004 I was in a clowd street in Pensylvania I had just join the cloud street abd I was about 1/2 km behind 4 other gliders; a DG600 18m, an LS8 18m, an ASW20 and a Janus. I was quikly able to catch all of them and soon I was a head of the pack! On one of my trip to France, I also ask the opignon of top pilot glider of the french gliding team in St Auban, they also told me that this glider was a super performer at high speed. |
